THE SNOOKNUK STORY
Snooknuk is a Grammy-nominated songwriter, recording artist, actress and children’s music advocate whose lifelong commitment to music began in Memphis, Tennessee.
Her songwriting talents also under Cheri Moon led to a Publishing deal with legendary producers Timbaland and Jimmy Douglass and launched a successful career that has spanned multiple genres and decades.
As a songwriter and vocalist, Snooknuk has collaborated with some of the industry’s most respected artists. Her songs have been featured in national advertising campaigns for McDonald’s, Dr Pepper, Apple Bee’s and many others, and licensed to numerous television productions on HBO, ShowTime & also Superbowl ads.
After becoming a mom, she began writing songs for kids that foster kindness, mindfulness, social awareness, diversity, creativity, and emotional development and has become a respected voice in the family music community.
In 2014, Cheri founded The Snooknuk Café in Hollywood, California, a unique children’s performing arts center dedicated to nurturing creativity, confidence, and artistic expression. The venue quickly became a beloved destination for families and welcomed numerous prominent artists, entertainers, and public figures.
Most recently, Snooknuk returned to her hometown roots by recording her single “Do Re Mi” at the legendary Stax recording facilities in Memphis alongside the Stax Music Academy Choir. The project united one of Memphis’ most celebrated musical institutions with a new generation of young performers, creating a powerful bridge between the city’s rich musical legacy and its future.
Her latest album, “All In Good Time,” produced by two-time Grammy Award winner Lucy Kalantari, continues her mission of bringing generations together through music.
